LA Galaxy to bid for Pablo SolariArgentine starlet valued at $10mclub undergoing roster overhaulWHAT HAPPENED?
According to Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, the Galaxy are in 'advanced' negotiations for the 22-year-old, who they've been tracking for 'months.' Solari scored five goals and added seven assists to his resume in 2023 for River Plate, with a career total of 20 goals in 66 career matches for the Argentine side.

The Galaxy are currently undergoing a roster overhaul, in what is arguably the most important offseason of the last decade for the club that once saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Beckham, Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard wear their shirt. 2023 was their worst-ever season as an organization, where they missed the playoffs and sported a record of just 8-12-14. They open their 2024 season against Inter Miami and Lionel Messi, and as things stand, do not have a roster that – on paper – competes with the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner's side.
Mexican legend Chicharito Hernandez and ex-Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa are among some of the recent departures as the club looks to craft a younger squad.
DID YOU KNOW?
Solari began his career at Talleres before a 2020 move to Colo Colo, where he notched seven goals in 27 appearances. He then joined River Plate in 2022, and has been incredibly successful since at the forward position.

The MLS side will continue to prepare for the 2024 campaign, which may include the likes of Solari among others. Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has also been linked to the club as they desperately try to strengthen their attacking ranks.
