Wrexham beaten 2-0 by Accrington Chairman Holt takes a dig at ReynoldsTicket-pricing row continuesWHAT HAPPENED?

After goals from Tommy Leigh and Rosaire Longelo powered the hosts to a 2-0 victory over the Welsh side on Saturday, Andy Holt took a scathing dig at the Deadpool actor. The mercury was rising before the first ball was kicked after Accrington increased ticket prices by £5 citing spiralling matchday operation costs. This prompted Wrexham to reduce ticket pricesby the same amount for the return fixture in May, which left Holt fuming on X. However after the on-field battle was won, Holt resumed his verbal attack and mockingly advised Reynolds to "cut prices by a tenner" instead of the pledged £5.

It was a bad day at the office for Phil Parkinson's men at Wham Stadium on Saturday as their League Two promotion bid took a blow. Their talisman Paul Mullin was denied by the woodwork in the first half before the striker crashed a penalty onto the crossbar deep into second-half stoppage time to add to the frustration of the travelling fans.

WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

The defeat ended Wrexham's 11-match unbeaten run in all competitions and also dropped them down to fourth in the league table, eight points behind league leaders Stockport. They will look to make amends for their loss when they host Morecambe at home next Saturday.
